A little about us here at Kingaroy
Workdays at Kingaroy are filled with a lot of options. We encourage you to try new things and learn new skills so you can find a job you like.
Your team leaders and employment coaches will support you every step of the way, and we’ll train you twice a week. We keep you safe with our safety inductions and show you who to talk to if you ever have any issues.
Each morning the team get together to have coffee - it’s a great way to start the day!
We’re a social bunch so get ready to put on your team jersey for our footy tipping competition and dress to the nines for Melbourne Cup. We provide tasty cupcakes at Easter, and host barbecues, karaoke sessions, and KFC days each month. Celebrations are a big deal here.
You can bring your own lunch or visit the café near us for some delicious treats.
There are plenty of options for transport with easy drop off points, parking on-site, and a bus stop nearby.
What we do at this site
- Bake biscuits – jam drops, choc chip, custard kisses, ginger nut, Anzac, peanut.
- Make jams and relishes in our commercial kitchen.
- Cater for local businesses
- Run an open-to-the-public café – coffee and burgers
- Delivery runs to Toowoomba and Sunshine Coast twice a month (with employment coach/team leader)
We’re looking for people who:
- Are happy to work in a team environment, scooping and pressing biscuits (for biscuit makers)
- Have coordination skills.
- Can count (e.g., counting 4 across, 6 down)
- Interested in taking orders, cleaning tables, money handling, using EFTPOS, serving customers, making milkshakes (for café assistants)
- Have fine motor skills, can grasp objects and are able to read orders (for coffee making).
- Can prepare mixtures, sterilise bottles, and make chutney, relish, and jam (for catering kitchen assistants).
